9.9 carb leaking fuel

hi all, i recently rebuilt my carb on a 9.9 2001 2stroke cause i had idling problems. it never leaked fuel before, after rebuild it idles now, but theres a hole on the side of the carb, im guessing its some kind of vent, cause if i plug it the motor dies. i dissasebled the top cover and checked the gasket and everything thing looks fine i put it back exactly how it was. any help is appreciated. its the round hole just to the right of that black plastic thing

Need to recheck float and float valve to see why it's overfilling with gas.
