Johnson 140hp 4 Stroke
Is there a diagnostic cable and software available for the 2003 Johnson 140HP 4-Stroke? Is it the same as the Suzuki cable and software?
I just bought this motor and installed it. The first trip to the lake it idled and ran great to 4,000 rpm when the rev limiter kicked in and would not run any faster. Reducing the throttle to achieve slightly less than 4,000 rpm it would run smooth and sounded great. I was using the adapter cable to hook this up to older wiring and controls on my 85 Lund. So I didn't have a check engine light system or alarm. I'm in the process of changing to that system now. Any advice is appreciated!
