Default 1967 RXE 15C Question and hello from new guy.

Hello all. Ive been poking around here searching the forum for answers and decided to just ask one. Ive just been given an old boat (14' renken), I'll probably junk the boat as Im not into cutting out the floor and seeing if any of the wood is still left and not mush (including the transom) .. anyway the boat came with a 33hp super seahorse. RXE 15C. 67 from what Ive been able to tell.
Long story short its been sitting 20 years but ran then. Its not stuck so I figure a whole lot of cleaning and then some more cleaning and probably a total tear down is in order..

Here is my question.. The gearcase itself has some damage, the little fin at the very bottom has a pretty good hack in it and is also bent to the side (previous owners drove the boat right up on the beach in a hilarious first attempt at boating hehe.. also hit a few sandbars that day and sheared several pins and then lost the prop, was the last time the boat was used).

Aside from the little bottom "fin" .. there is also a pretty good bend on one half/side of the anti ventilation plate. In my mind there's probably not much fixing of things like that because of the nature of the material to break rather than bend (especially bend back).
Question is, is there any manipulating or repairing of that kinda stuff or should i just start looking for another gearcase (housing)???
Also would gearcases from a range of close years also fit?
Thank you for any wisdom on this, I would probably remove the powerhead and bring her in the house and rebuild it over this winter so I'm trying to educate myself ahead of time. Works for motorcycles should be easier for an outboard I suppose.

Here are a few links to some pictures.

The bottom "fin", its kinda gouged up and bent to the left (looking at the rear).

The anti-vent plate other side is nice and straight.

To find a housing for that engine you are probably have to go the salvage route. You might try and google antique outboards, i know there are some clubs out there that might be able to help you out.
