1988 Johnson 150hp Bogs Bad on take off.
My motor runs well and isn't missing or sputtering at all. But when I start out from a dead stop it is slower than my trolling motor and won't get up to plane for a long time. After it does it runs great. It idles well also. Just bought it so not sure of any history. I have been told that maybe the prop is the wrong one and I need one that will get me out of the hole better.
Thoughts and experiences. Again, it seems to run fine just won't accelerate out of the hole.
