Water in Gear oil (15 horse johnson '76 model)

Have a 1976 johnson 15 horse and run it pretty often. Noticed a difference in the get up n go and decided to check the gear oil and found a lot of water!! Any ideas as to what I need to change (seal, gasket, etc) to fix the problem? Model #: 15EL76R
