92 40hp johnson flywheel

I have a 92 40hp johnson. I have a small repair shop but I specialize in inboard ski boats so I am way out of my comfort zone here. I need to remove the flywheel to replace a stator. I have tried everything I can think of and even took it to two other shops to let them have a crack at it. No luck
