95 150 Fast Strike
Early this year my motor developed a rattle at 4000-5000 rpm once it has warmed up. I have been all over it, plugs look good, compression is good in all cylinders, lower unit shows no kind of excessive metal on the drain plugs. Also has new regulator, and a new power pack late last year. Normal WOT is about 5400-5500, once the rattle starts I can only get 5000-5200 WOT. When conditions are colder there is no rattle. Dont know what to look for next. Could this be a thermostat problem causing a miss fire in the motor once it gets hot. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
