Default 1974 Johnson 70hp Wrist Pin Coversion Kits - 5/8 to 3/4 pin

Hello All,

I am in the middle of rebuilding my old 1974 70hp Johnson. I am replacing the pistons but the original wrist pin size (5/8") is no longer available. So I have purchased three wrist pin conversion kits. They are easy to fit, put my question is how do you secure the outer collars to the conrod?? Or do you let them float between the piston and the conrod?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul - Sydney Australia
