Remote Conversion for '97 Johnson 15hp

i have inherited a '97 15hp Johnson short shaft with a tiller.

i have built a small skiff and want to use this motor, however, i had built the skiff for a long shaft 20 to 25 hp. to keep from cutting down the transom for the 15hp, as someday i will put a larger motor, i would like to hang it on a bracket. this is going to require that i convert it to remote operation.

i am curious as to what all this is going to require. i have tried to do some searching online, but am not able to find a site that truly describes what all has to be added to get this done.

sure would appreciate any help or thoughts on this plan. it may be that it will just be better to go ahead and purchase the long shaft.
