I have a 1994 9.9hp Johnson that is having issues. Would not idle, difficult to start etc. Had it tuned-up, new plugs, drained gas/oil mix and replaced with fresh. It will start ok now, idles ruff and still lots of smoke even with new gas and oil and I know the mix is correct. Any ideas?
Did you ever get an answer ? You say that you are using the correct fuel/oil mixture - What was the correct Fuel/Oil mixture that you are using ? I have the same excess blue smoke on my 1999 25 HP using a 50:1 ratio - is that the correct ratio?
