Red face Looper or Crossflow

Excuse my ignorance Guys, but I keep seeing these two terms when looking for parts for my 1989 Johnson 225 (J225PLCED). I don't know the difference. Can anybody educate me?!!
Thanks

It is the way in which the carburetors feed the engine fuel. Crossflow feeds in crossing mannor. Looper feeds the cylinder aligned with the carburetor.
