Default fuel feed problem

i have a johnson 6hp i was given to by my uncle, the motor runs but it seems that it wont suck the gas from the tank through the line, it keeps wanting to stall out but if i squeeze the primer it will pick back up, any suggestions?

Sounds like the bulb may have a air leak and not holding a suction, I have had this happen on a couple of old ones, just a thought.

X2 what he said! ahah. Definitely worth replacing the bulb before looking at replacing a fuel pump. It could be the fuel pump, but I would definitely start with the bulb and/or line first.
