Default 2003 Johnson 50 HP 4 stroke

Need to replace a broken throttle cable. Is this a difficult project or can i fix it myself? It broke about 2 inches from where it goes into the engine. Is there extra cable that i can pull out or do i need to buy a new one? Has anyone done this before? How to?

Any input is appriciated, thank you, Rob Gabriele

You will need to replace the cable, it is easiest to pull the new cable through when you are removing the old one.
