Default Pressure Gauge

I need to know the pressure gauge I am to use to see if the crack in the lower unit of my motor after hit the rock goes right through or not is it a certain kind. thanks Carol

Hi Carol,
I don't believe you need a pressure gauge. You need to drain the oil from the lower unit to see if there is water in it. Sometimes, if it is bad enough, the water/oil will leak from the damaged area just from lifting the unit out of water.
Depending on the amount of damage, they can be repaired by welding. Sometimes it's bad enough to require replacing the lower unit.
