Default No spark to plugs on 73 65 hp

I have just bought a 73 65 hp Johnson that I think has been gone thru a couple of years ago but has sat since then. I am not able to get a spark to the plugs. The motor turns over and gets gas to the plugs. Does the motor have a set of points that may be frozen?? What are the steps to check the electrical.

I have same problem. I would like an answer too. I got power to coils. Nothing to plugs. How much voltage should be showing? I am thinking the magneto is not sending enough power to coils.

In this situation, the best alternative is to obtain a service manual. They will tell you the exact specifications and adjustments for all the ignition components. The following link will assist you.
Original outboard product and service manuals for Johnson, Evinrude, Gale, and OMC
