trim problem

I have a 97 J150 on my boat and my trim stoped working. The releys are clicking and putting out power in both directions. when i cut the green and blue and hook the trim motor up directly it works great! I thought a bad ground or power to the releys, so i disconnected them and cleaned the but same problem. Any advice?

Yes you should try replacing the relays. Sometimes they will still connect but an insufficient amount of voltage to run the motor.
