Hi, i have a 1996 35hp 3 cylinder Elan which will not run on full throttle, it runs on about 3/4 throttle fine but as i then start to increase the revs it judders but does not stall. I have replaced the plugs and the fuel filter is clear but it still does this?
Sounds like a fuel problem. You may have a plugged carburetor or fuel pump may not be supplying enough fuel. I would start by removing the carburetors and thoroughly cleaning. Verify each air/fuel passage is clear.
