Miss at idle

Hi there I have a Johnson 135 v 4 08/2000 model BJ135vxSIF has a miss at idle and a big puff of smoke when it does. The engine does not like idling for too long it stalls but starts back up no problem. Any help where to start would be great thanks. It's been serviced new plugs etc

Sounds like a lean pop. This is associated to a plugged carburetor. You should remove, thoroughly clean, then replace the carburetors. You will need to sync/adjust carbs when finished.
