1972 9.5 hp carb adjustment

trying to adjust carb ,,if i get it to idle good after twisting throttle i cant get it to wind and run at full throttle,,,or i can adjust to get get full throttle operation and when i throttle back down it dies or wont idle down far enough to shift gears. any help on adjusting this thing would be appreciated. carb was rebuilt with new gaskets and such and rebuilt fuel pump also.

Verify that all the timing bushings and linkages are adjusted properly. The only adjustment screw on the carburetor is for slow speed.
