Cool Motor shut down
I cannot shut the motor down by turning the key off. I have to choke it and stall it to get it shut down. This is a 1998 50hp Johnson. Can anyone tell me if this is a simple fix?

Sounds like your ignition switch or the kill wire (in the harness) is damaged.
