Default new problem

model35e76g 35hp Johnson 76yr,motor will not rev when throttle is pushed forward, resolved elec. problem many thanks to all . I know the carb. is not at fault,thought it my be the high speed jet, but wasn't, my new question is will the top seal cause that kind of problem? motor starts and idles fine.at a loss

Yes any air leak in crankcase or intake will affect the way it runs. Try bumping choke to see if it seems to help when you throttle up.
