Default 1992 (90) hp johnson

I have very minimal spark, you can just feel a tingle in you hand. the motor will not start. How can I tell if it is the power pack or the stater that is bad?

You would need a peak reading volt meter to test voltage output of stator, trigger coils and power pack output, normal volt meter won't give correct volt readings to test ignition system.

Angry testing power pack and stater

how do you test the stater, how much voltage is normal or good. the same for the power pack. Is there a down loadable Manuel on this process? please help
