I have a 1976 55hp outboard that runs great in neutral,it revs up and down idles smooth,but when I put it in foward it has no power..There is a weap hole on the gearcase that is leaking milky gear oil...If someone could give me an idea where to start I would appreciate it...
Need to check compression and spark at spark plugs, probably need to remove and clean carbs. Probably have a seal leaking in gearcase and needs to be resealed.
