Hello all...I have a 2004 30 HP Johnson Tiller and am considering paying a mechanic to replace the impeller. Approx. how much should it cost to have this done? If it is too much I will do it myself. Also, is the impeller part of the water pump. If so should it be replaced when the impeller is replaced?
I don't know if this will help you any but I had the impeller which is the paddle part that pushes/pumps the water in the water pump replaced at a shop a couple years ago, the bill was right around 250 bucks, and they took three weeks to get it done which I wasn't happy with but it was the busy season.
