9.9 johnson 4 stroke

Hi!, I'm new to this forum,and I think it's a great idea. I have a 2007 johnson 9.9 4 stroke. It only has about 5 hrs on it and it runs well. The problem is after it sits for about 2 weeks it won't start. Its starved for fuel. the fuel is fresh and I need to tap an the carb. to allow fuel to enter the bowl. then it runs with no problem. Is there some type of lubricant for the fuel that will loosen up the needle and seat in the carb?

We are having a lot issues when using the Ethanol blended fuels, the ethanol makes the rubber tips on float valve swell and stick in closed position. Adding fuel stabilizer to gas and disconnecting fuel hose and run carb dry before storing motor does help some.
