have 1978 johnson 85 hp.model 85etcr78c tilt goes up wont go down..is it replaceable.or is there a easy fix?

If the electric motor doesn't run when trim down then may be a bad solenoid or wiring problem.
If motor runs both up and down then may have a valve or seat inside trim unit not sealing and would need to be taken apart and rebuilt. -
It sounds like a bad solenoid nor reversing when you try to go down,or a bad switch.Comment
