    1996 Johnson 4hp carb gas leak

    I have been trying to fix a gas leak on my 1996 Johnson 4hp carb. I have re-built the carb using one of your carb re-build kits and carb float gage three times. I still have the gas leak. I sprayed some carb cleaner up through the main jet and the cleaner sprayed out between the emulsion tube and the main nozzle. It was hard to see if the cleaner sprayed out between the main nozzle and the carb body. See attachment.

    Is this spraying out normal ? If not where should I put the drop of Ultra Lock ?

    Yes spray would come out there, is float good?

      Yes, I have tried 2 new floats adjusted using the gage. Still have excessive gas coming out between main nozzle and the emulsion tube. Sprayed carb cleaner into the emulsion tube. Spray comes out of the small holes the in top of the venture, so they are not clogged.
      I'll try closing the gap between the top of the main nozzle and the emulsion tube with Ultra Lock. Hopefully that will work.
