Please excuse my ignorance. But am doing maintenance on my 1996 25hp Johnson. I noticed that my intake has no type of air filter. Is this the way its supposed to be, or was I stripped of mine at some point. Motor has been stored for about 10 years. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. Certainly seems like there should be some sort of cover on the intake, but I may be crazy.
