1993 johnson 200 ocean runner running hot
I have a johnson 200 ocean runner that I recently purchased and im having an overheating problem. I had the water pump and the thermostat replaced . The water is flowing great now! At an idle the temp is around 145 degrees but when I get on it around 4000 rpms the temp will jump up to about 200 degrees and the alarm will sound. I found a nicked wire and corrected that. I ran the motor again yesterday and the temp still shot up to 200 so I backed off and temp would go down to about 150.i was told I needed to replace the temp switch. Any advice would be great!!!
