i have a 2000,40 hp johnson hard to start and stalls in low speeds
my outboard is hard to start and stalls in low speeds.It runs well when in higher speeds but wont hold an idle.i took it to the shop because it will take me to long to figure out whats wrong and fix it.The shop rebuiildtthe dual carbs and rebuilt the vso,vro that was bypassed but leaks when starting.still having the same problems.the shop puts earmuffs on and it starts and idles but when the motor is in the water or barrel it wont start or idle.I brought this motor from completely dead to what I have using this forum.I thought the shop would fix it fast and I would be happy.didnt work so here I am. please help me.
