short somewhere

I have a 1992 150 hp Johnson. it will just die like the key was turned off. there is no spark to the plugs. it will start after a sort time. sometimes I will wiggle the wires to the power pack and other wires and it will start. the shop was no ideas. does anybody? something is shorting out, but what and how do you test it?

Could be ingnition switch is bad allowing shorting circuit to ground out spark. Also, very likely it could be a bad power pack. Some power packs will intermittently short out.
