In the process of rebuilding the powerhead on my 1997 - 175 HP Ocean Runner I discovered a 1/8" hose barb fitting that I don't believe had a hose attached when I disassembled the engine.. It's located adjacent to the rectifier/regulator starboard side of the engine block and goes directly into the water coolant cavity. Can someone explain this fitting.
