    2004 Johnson 150 impeller

    Purchased the boat last year from original owner. The impeller has never been changed, so plan to do this before this coming season. Besides the actual impeller, what other parts are recommended; gaskets, plate, housing etc? Should the thermostats be replaced at the same time? Last season it always ran great and pumped water fine, just thought after 10 yrs, the impeller should be replaced as preventive maintenance.

    Should any other parts be replaced (other than cooling parts) on this motor as preventive maintenance.

    On my 1997 115hp the impeller comes as a kit with everything you need, so ask for the replacement kit not just the impeller

      I totally agree. On the otherhand, my motor is a 1998 115 V4, which I bought in 2004. I have not changed the w/p since I have owned it. I don't run in sand; I do turn the motor over while it is sitting for long periods of time..... I guess it's time to change the pump. Still, it does not run hot.
