no model or serial # tag

Hi, I have a 1988 Well craft 250 Coastal with a Johnson Ocean pro 200 o/b. The motor is mounted on a omc sea drive. My problem is there is no serial number tag on the motor. Is there any other place on the motor to find the numbers? I need the numbers to order parts. Any help would be great. Thanks Bob.

Usually there is a round disc somewhere on the powerhead which often, but not always, has the model number of the motor. It may be behind, or under, a power pack or coild. It may be missing, or painted over. More often than not, it is located on the starboard side of the engine block.
