1994 25hp Johnson trouble revving under load
So here is what I have.
My 94' Johnson two stroke will start and idle just fine. It has perfect compression in both cylinders and is getting good spark on both plugs as far as I know (did a block test) . I know it is getting fuel because it revs while on the trailer. When I am on the water and the motor is under load it will not rev past maybe 30% (complete guess I have no tach). The weird part is every now and then it will kick in and try to run then it will go back to running slow. I have no idea what is going on. Could this be a coil issue? I was thinking maybe the reed valves or that power pack thing that it has is jacked up?
