The plate on my motor shows a date of 7/2000 but, the model is a J90PLSIF denoting manufacture of 2001 which would I use for year of motor?

Not really a plate it's a black sticker with silver boxes that are filled in with black typewritten letters and numbers. The sticker is on the mounting bracket of the motor. The black sticker is upside down in the attachment
Top box: Waukegan, Illinois. U.S.A.
2nd box: J90PLSIF
3rd box: G 04903200
4th box: 07/2000Attached Files

That is confusing. I started in this trade back in 1960 and stuck with it until retiring in 1991 and I have never come across a engine with what appears to be two (2) ID plates.
The top larger plate is the one most commonly found on the 1990 models and later. Unfortunately the picture is too small for me to actually read it.
Look closely on the powerhead for a small quarter size core plug (Looks like a small freeze out plug) that may have the model and serial number imprinted upon it. If it exists, what are the numbers on it?
