  • New Here, looking for ignition Help

Hey folks. I am new to this forum and looking to see if anyone can help me. I have a 2005 J90PL4SOR that I recently acquired. I was told the motor started and ran but the vst filter MAY need to be changed, so I figured id take it and see if I could get it running. Here's where my problem lies. The engine is not rigged to anything. Just a battery and I have a remote starter button hooked the the 12v switch lead to the solenoid. I have a system check wiring harness for it, but no gauges key switch/kill switch etc. All I wanted to do was start it and see if itd run, and I am not getting any spark on all 4 cylinders. the boat and gauges everything that this motor was rigged to is not around anymore the person repowered and kept everything but the control box. I Know the black/yellow wire is the kill circuit, but with it unplugged shouldn't it fire? fuses are good. I guess my main question is am I missing something that needs to be connected besides the battery, or do I need to start testing the stator/coils etc. hopefully I explained enough of what I have here. any help is greatly appreciated.

You will need to connect key switch and main harness to it to get it running, ECU has to be powered up.
