Thanks for all replies in advance. My 90 HP Johnson is very hard to start. after it starts and warms up it runs fine until it sits a while. I spent 800 last year getting the carbs rebuilt and due to issues with the VRO I have replaced it with just a fuel pump and mixing the oil with the gas. When pumping the fuel bulb it gets hard and stays that way for a while. I pulled the plugs and they are wet with fuel so it seems that it has to be electrical. It has the CDI ignition but I'm not sure how to test it. What can make it so hard to start? Could coils be bad? CDI?
I said this had CDI ignition but got confused after reading to many internet stories. It has OIS 2000 ignition.
