    1990 125hp OMC outboard question

    Hi,

    I just picked up a Lund with an OMC type outboard. The low oil alarm doesn't work. Does anybody have recommendations for how to deal with this? Should I just go ahead and mix the oil into the tank? And do people monitor oil consumption? I guess since the alarm doesnt work then I have to keep an eye on how much oil is being used? But it's hard to see into that tank.

    Any suggestions would be very welcome... Thank you...

    I meant to write above that this is a VRO system.. first generation I think. AND.. it's a 110 not a 125.

      If the warning horn sounds off at all (not just a bad horn), either have the oil tank replaced, the oil tank electronics replaced, or do away with the VRO and premix your fuel/oil.

      What's the model number of that engine?
