Can anyone send me a picture of where cooling water discharges? I ran my engine for a short while, and did not see any water from anywhere. Thank you.

On that model, the water shoots out the hole at the rear portion of the long exhaust housing... with the majority of it going out the exhaust through hub propeller. There is no water telltale outlet as per the later models. -
My guess is the schematic below is for your outboard.
In looking at the flow directional arrows (i.e. water circulating as the OMC designers intended) when the thermostat is closed all the pumped water exits the hose connected to the exhaust cover (i.e. the tell tale outlet). With the thermostat open, some of the water will exit the hose but some will exit through the prop.Last edited by brw0513; 08-28-2017, 06:45 AM.Comment
