Hi Guys & gals my first post so be kind , i have Johnson motor on a little speedboat I acquired for me and the kids , however never been able to get the title working and seems this unit is broken beyond fixing ! So i'm on the hunt for a a new unit so I can finally get the tilt working on the boat - I'm based in NZ so looking on line any recommendations would be appreciated Thanks Jason

Jason.... Most of us have no idea what a Prestolite HYA 5010 is other than you finally got around to mentioning that the "Tilt" isn't working. What is important is the model number of the engine so that we know exactly the year, mfg, and hp rating... also is the unit simply a tilt unit or a tilt/trim unit?
You state the problem as (seems to be broken)... Have you applied 12v directly to that electric motor to see if it is indeed faulty? -
Thanks Jo , Yep I've tried to get it working taken it apart and tried direct power supply aswell looking for advice on new motor to replace this one thenComment
