I acquired a QD17 in parts and it doesn't have a positive detent between FNR. I looked at a diagram on Marineengine and it doesn't appear to have any detent device on the diagram. I have removed the shift lever and rod but don't see anything missing. It shifts into FNR but there is no positive stop in the neutral position. I'm missing something but don't know what. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
