2001 Johnson 70 hp hard to start

If I let my engine set for a week. It will not start until I remove the 2 yellow wires from tha sator to the RECTIFIER. After it starts I replace the wires and it will start with no problems. But while running the engine under load it will drop 1 cylinder. What should I check ?
