Upgrade 6hp to 8hp

Hi there,

I have a 1997 6hp and wants to convert/upgrade to 8hp. What parts have I to change? The motor is a BJ6DREUC and the differences I see in the part-lists are:

1. HIGH SPEED ORIFICE Part No. 0323708 (9,97$)
2. NOZZLE WELL Part No. 0397189 (22,47$)
3 MANIFOLD, intake Part No. 0433897 (400,81$)

But with the MANIFOLD I´m a little bit confused because of the prices.
Part No. 0433897 is for 6-8hp and costs 400$;
Part No. 0434020 is for 5-6DR and costs 69$
And if you look, Part No. 0434020 is also used in some 8hp models, so what´s the different?

They use the same part list for many different models. You have the 6DR so you would need the 0433897 for the 8hp conversion. Everything else seems ok.

Thanks for your sustaining answer! But why are the prices so different?
It´s the 6-fold, and I doubt a little bit that 2hp=400$ is it worth.
