1994 Rectifier

I have just recived a new Rectifier for a 1994 150 John/Evin Faststrike/intruder. my old part has a red/ purple/ Gray/ 2 yellow wires. My replacement part is missing the purple wire. The parts people insure me that this is the replacement but what does the missing purple wire go to and how do I make this work. Please help I am lost.

The new design does not require that wire.

Thanks for the help. Do you happen to know what purple wire went to and should I trace it to the other end and remove it completely or just cap it off.
