2001 Johnson 40hp - Starting issues

Hello folks,

I have a 2001 Johnson 40hp oil injected outboard motor.

It usually starts up fairly easily.. The problem is getting it started after it has been running. I will drive it to my fishing hole, shut it off, and it will not start back up. I have no clue what is going on, brought it to a mechanic friend and he doesnt know what is going on either. Anyone else experience sililar issues??

You should start by checking spark when the motor will not start up. This will narrow you results.
