Just recently got a 20 hp johnson and small boat. Engine was not running intially, but after replacing fuel lines and carb cleaning,the motor started right up.
After about 10-15 of running the motor overheated. I was so happy it was running that I didn't take notice that the motor didn't have water running thru it.(possible impeller problem) I waited about 30 mins and tried to restart it but now have just loud air bursts every few pulls and won't start. Did I blow the head gasket when it overheated?
