  • Johnson 70HP questions

I have a 1984 Johnson SeaHorse 70HP (70ECLRD) outboard. I have two questions, the first one is a two part question:

1.) A.) Does this outboard charge my cranking battery while the engine is running? B.) If it does charge, how many batteries can I have linked to it?

2.) On the bottom of the engine, the fin below the props is slightly bent. Is it possible to bend it straight with heat?

    Much thanks in advance.

Yes it does have an alternator to charge battery, I think it has a 6 or 10 amp alternator.
It is very possible that the skeg will break if try to straighten.
