I just bought a 15' boat with Johnson 50 hp Model 50ESL71S motor. I'm a first-time boater. What should I do for proper maintenance, including before I put the boat in the water for the first time?
If you don't know maintenance history on motor, you might repalce water pump, change gearcase oil, fuel filters and spark plugs, grease fittings and prop shaft.
