So I picked up a 2000 Johnson 90 hp today on a pontoon boat. Owner says he took out of winter storage and started it and would only run on high idle and stall. I picked it up really cheap and it does fire right up. I only ran it for a second and saw a hole where fuel and oil was blowing out of the case it looks like. It just above the right side upper carb when looking at the carb side of the motor. Any idea what happened? Im trying to add a video of it to this post but having issues.

Standing in back of the engine, facing the spark plugs... left is "Port"... right is "Starboard.
A suggestion.... Use the terminology "Port" & "Starboard" as the terminology of "left" & "right" changes as one changes their position.
As it stands, one would have a problem pin pointing the area in question.
